Gesture Drawing Assignment

For this week’s assignment, follow the process taught in Professor Warner’s Gesture Drawing video to create a gesture drawing of the figure cast shown above.
It could be as small as 4 to 6 inches high, but I encourage you to make it larger if you have big sheets of paper.
Materials:
• HB or B graphite pencil (any pencil will work)
• sketchbook

Helpful Hints:
1. If you keep your pencil drawing light and build up your marks, you don’t have to erase as much.
2. This drawing is supposed to be done quickly, so instead of doing only one drawing of the photo, and carefully perfecting it, set a timer for 1 to 3 minutes, and draw the photo two to three times.

Then, look below and draw these 4 figures as accurately as possible with the distribution of the masses labeled on the right.
